Researchers propose
that the fast, dynamic, uncertain nature of action video games might be
training people to search for and identify patterns in the environment,
building the metacognitive skill of learning to learn. These games require
players to make decisions based on lots of noisy based information, they
generate strategies to pick up regularities and patterns that seem to teach
them how to use this ability to more quickly and effectively learn new tasks.
Using this skill for classroom and real-world learning would allows students to
figure out where to focus their limited attention for maximal learning impact.
Improving multi-tasking ability through action videogames.
DIS
Behaviour and mental
changes in children who spend half the day on gaming may become violent,
introvert, lose interest about the environment that surrounds them. This will
lead to an underdeveloped personality because the person never likes to talk to
other people and socialize. There are a lot of games that help in brain
development by imparting critical thinking skills, at the same time, playing
video games for hours every day also results in a slowdown in brain
development. Some children can be seen wearing spectacles these days. Not all
persons will get a weak eyesight, but getting more screen time from a close
distance definitely leads to myopia. Also, the screen time will negatively
affect your ability to sleep. It would be harder to fall asleep at night and
get a good sleep. To use graphic card in your computer, your hardware must be
special. each gaphics card amount is very high and so most of the games prefer
high specification so majority of gamers can't buy these products.
